Hey there! I’m so excited to welcome you behind the scenes at Freckled & Framed Photography. Trust me, no two days are ever alike, but here’s a sneak peek into what a day in my life looks like as a family and wedding photographer in Minneapolis!
Morning Vibes – Let’s Get This Day Started!
My cat’s always the early bird, so he kicks off my day by demanding breakfast. After I’ve served the little king, I cozy up on the couch with a delicious iced chai tea (my fave!) and let the morning take its sweet time. While sipping away, I take a quick mental stroll through my to-do list, setting the tone for the day.
If I’m heading out for a session, I double-check my gear, charge up batteries, swap in fresh SD cards, and flip through the mood board of prompts and poses for the day’s session.
Client Love & Emails
When I’m not out capturing memories, my workday often kicks off with a cozy email session. I respond to clients, send off quotes and questionnaires, and make sure all wedding and family photo inquiries are taken care of. This is also my time to dive into the business side - accounting, scheduling, and getting everything prepped for upcoming shoots.
Editing Frenzy
After I’m all caught up on emails, it’s time to dive into the fun stuff, editing! You can usually find me in my home office with my second iced chai in hand, blasting tunes, and lighting my favorite candle from Palms, Psalms, & Prosecco (seriously, best candles ever!). I’m glued to my computer, picking out the best shots, hand editing them, and creating beautiful online galleries for my clients.
Gallery Delivery Day = Pure Happiness!
This is the best part! There’s nothing like the joy of hitting "send" on a photo gallery and knowing your clients will be getting an inbox full of smiles. It’s such a rewarding moment!
Location Scouting – Finding the Magic Spots
If I have session in a new location, it’s time for a scouting adventure! I take a little trip to check out the area, walking around to find the best spots for those gorgeous shots.
Session Time-
When it’s time to head to a session, the excitement is REAL! I grab my gear, head to our meeting spot, and get ready to capture the magic. This is where I get to be my most creative, finding and capturing those special moments. It’s the best to see everything come to life through my lens!
Evening Chill – Recharging for Tomorrow
After a busy, photo-filled day, I make sure everything’s packed up safely—gear stowed away, SD cards backed up, and emails checked one last time. Then, it’s time to unwind! Whether it’s gaming, reading, going for a walk, or having a little sauna sesh, I make sure to do something that resets me and helps me recharge for the next day full of photo work!
